Clinical

We provide evidence-based care and engage you in making decisions for your management. We empower you to self-manage your upper limb problem and prescribe a rehabilitation program that you can undertake at home, in your own gym or under the supervision of our team.

Shoulder conditions that we help people manage include rotator cuff disorders, frozen shoulder, shoulder instability, arthritis and rehabilitation after surgery or injury. (eg rotator cuff repair, shoulder joint replacement).

Elbow, hand and wrist conditions that we help people manage include tennis/golfer’s elbow, DeQuervain’s tenosynovitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis of the elbow, wrist, thumb and fingers, and rehabilitation after elbow, hand or wrist surgery (eg flexor and extensor tendon repair).

Research

We are committed to research endeavours that make a difference to clinical practice. Dr Thorpe and Dr Ranelli are teaching and research academics at Curtin University and are currently involved in research projects to inform evidence-based care pathways for upper limb conditions.

Education

We conduct professional development and educational workshops to medical and allied health colleagues on clinically relevant and evidence-based knowledge and skills in the management of upper limb musculoskeletal conditions
